Color Block Series

2018-2019

Ryan's color block series signified his departure from hyperrealist work.  The series was submitted after Ryan's junior year of high school for AP portfolio review, and received the highest score possible of a five.  13 works compose the collection, half of them depicting his home state, Arizona, and half depicting the home of his ancestors in Ireland.  The paintings are based on Ryan's own photographs.
